Katie had her home track meet this past week.  She is still having a little struggle with her hurdles as she tries to break bad habits formed last year and improve her technique this year.  She placed 5th in the 75 meter hurdles.  She placed 3rd in the 200 meter.  And just for fun her coach decided at the last minute to put her in 100 meter even though she has never done the event before.  Here she is coming in 2nd on the 100 meter sprint.

Made the toga party a little more difficult but Difficult is David's middle name!

You Know the Difference Between You and Joe?

Joe was challenged to the cold-water challenge.  This is something country folk do when they get bored waiting for Winter to end.  You jump into a freezing cold lake and then you get to challenge other idiots to do the same thing.  Joe decided to bring a little style into his event.

It's that time of year Again.

Priest/Laural prom.  Joe busted out his favorite tie for the occasion.  After the dance some of the kids met up for a quick bite at Braum's.

Ok, it's not nearly as exciting as that but it was fun.  Jason and the boys burned a patch of long grass (and my wild blackberry bushes!).

New Calf the Sequel

So we have another new calf.  (Two, actually, but I don't have pictures of the third one yet.)  Chornaya, our all-black cow had her first calf a couple of weeks ago.  It's a cute little bugger but already has out-of-the-fence skills.  Why can't we just have normal cows?!

The Minnionaries

I made these for one of Seth's packages a while back.  For some reason my children all think they need minions.  I have no idea where they get these ideas from.  Anyway....  So since Seth is now a missionary I made him some minionaries. :)
