On assignment
Grandma has given me an assignment to get pictures of each of my children so she can put them on her wall or shelf or wherever it is she keeps pictures of her grandkids.
Perhaps she doesn't understand what she is asking!

And not the kind you have out on your front porch either! I keep these in the basement.
Joe finally saved up enough to get his bass. He's learning little bits at a time. Now they are both learning how to stay with someone else playing! lol

So we decided to let David have a birthday this year afterall
And since Mom didn't hang any streamers for the party, Seth and Joe took care of things themselves.
Then Joe realized we didn't have a pinata either...

And just in case we should happen to have any normalness about the kids' birthdays, Aunt Nellie had to send a box to get us straightened right back out!
I guess the whole turning 16 thing went to Seth's head and he had to go get tatted up about it...
And take his little brother with him...
And.... oh forget it!
And if you're gonna have tats you gotta have Super Hero capes too, right?!
Seth had a little trouble figuring out this whole how-to-wear-a-cape thing.
I give up!
Honestly, after everything David went through to get rid of Carl, what kind of sick person sends him another one?!!!!!

We were not sure how to get candles into Katie's giant no-bake cookie cake. Joe decided the best solution would be to light the thing up with his giant Roman candle.
Fortunately Dad has a little more maturity and found a more conservative way to handle it. (why is there a bottle of Tobasco sauce sitting there?)
David seemed rather worried about the giant Nerf gun Katie got.
