First was acknowledgement for winning a Writer's Hall of Fame award.
Then he received acknowledgement for being on the winning team (first time a team from our school has taken 1st place) in the History Bowl.
They also gave acknowledgement to those who would be receiving honors diploma but by mistake they had left Joe's name off the list. He was given acknowledgement at school the following day.
